The Eagle and Sun can offer you a fabulous selection of local meats. We keep everything as local as we possibly can. When it comes to taste, we are sure you know the difference and it also means Minimal Carbon footprint.

Our Vegetables, according to seasons are grown locally - We support small independent local producers.

Canalside Dining in the Heart of the Worcestershire Countryside

In the heart of the beautiful Worcestershire Countryside, The Eagle and Sun sits on the banks of the Worcester & Birmingham Canal adjacent to the Droitwich Canal Junction and just a mile or so from the historic spa town of Droitwich.

You can't miss it, follow sign posts to "Hanbury Hall" along Hanbury Road (the Saltway Roman Road) and you will find us on the right.

Although it is not clear exactly when the Eagle and Sun was built it is believed to have been in the 1830’s. The Pub which is also alongside the Saltway Roman road, is considered therefore to be approaching 200 years old but its exact date is unknown. From maps of the period it would appear that it was not documented in 1831, but appears in the 1879 revision.

You can dine and watch the Narrow Boats go by on the side of the Worcester - Birmingham canal, which is well known for its locks, 58 in all climbing 428 feet from the level of the River Severn in Worcester up to Birmingham.
